April Already?!

Wow, I cannot believe that I am getting into my last time being here. This trip is just flying by so fast. Though I am so excited for April because I've heard that Spring time in Ireland is gorgeous. This week I was quite tired from my weekend in Spain as well as Europe pushed their clocks ahead just this Sunday.

Yesterday my friend Cora and I took an impromptu day trip to Cork city. It was a nice chance to be able to walk around the city center. I did not get a chance to do some of the main Cork tourist attractions such as Blarney Castle and the place of the Titanic's last departure. These were located in County Cork not the actual city center. That is something I've noticed about Ireland that a lot of the main attractions are not found within cities. Which is something a little different than I'm used to. I don't know if that's just me or not.

Though I had a really great time going to Cork. I really like being able to see different cities in Ireland and be able to see how they may be different to Dublin. Cork is definitely a lot smaller then Dublin. It sort of reminded me of San Fransisco in a way, like the way that the houses and streets all rose up. I'm probably one of the first people to ever find a similarity in some where in Ireland to some where in California.

We had a really nice day to go, which allowed us to be able to enjoy all of the buildings. The city had some really pretty views and really pretty buildings. Though right when we were getting onto the bus it started pouring out! I've been here almost three months and the sudden change in Irish weather still surprises me.

Like I've said again I really cannot wait to explore Ireland in April. My friends and I have made it a goal to see as much as this country as we can this month. Especially since our time here is running out. I'm going to Italy and Wednesday for my 21st birthday! I can't wait! I was insprired by how well Katie spoke Spanish in Barcelona so I am trying to brush up my Italian whenever I have the time. I've downloaded podcasts on my ipod of Italian, Spanish and French lessons at the attempt of becoming bilingual. One thing that I am worried about in Rome is petty thief, if anyone has a tip to avoid it let me know!
